The gang is back together. Deadline reports FOX has given a script commitment-with-penalty to political drama, The Code. Written by Justified veterans Graham Yost and Michael Golan, The Code is an adaptation of the Australian series of same name.
Another Justified alum, Michael Dinner, will direct the pilot of The Code. According to Deadline, Dinner will executive produce, along with Yost and Golan. While not cancelled, Justified, starring the lovely and talented Timothy Olyphant, ended in in April 2015, after six seasons.
From Deadline:
[The Code] tells the story of two very different brothers, a journalist and a hacker, who unearth information that those at the highest levels of political power will kill to keep secret. […]
The original series, from Playmaker Media for the Australian Broadcasting Company, debuted in 2014 and has been renewed for a second season to air in 2016. The first season took home six Academy of Cinema and Television Arts awards in January, including Best TV Drama Series, followed by the Australian Directors Guild Award for Best Direction in a TV Drama Series in May. Last year, the series received the Australian Writers Guild Award for Best Television Mini Series and was nominated for a Screen Producers Australia Award. (watch a trailer below)
