The Fall will not see a fourth season on BBC Two, but one of the stars of the series was ready and wanted one to happen. Gillian Anderson spoke about her UK series in an interview with The Guardian, and she expressed her feelings about the series.
She said:
“It’s my favorite. It has just been so huge for me. I find it so compelling and mysterious.”
In fact, she opted to wear a red wig for filming of The X-Files because she needed to return for filming of season three of The Fall. She was told her hair would fall out if she went from blonde to red to blonde again for filming.
However, the actress will not have to worry about that in the future. The Fall was cancelled by BBC Two. Fans will see Anderson back on FOX with the revival of The X-Files later this month. The third season of The Fall will land on Netflix for U.S. audiences later this year.
