As the last episode aired, Carter Bays tweeted, “Last #goodwingames ever, right now east coast!”. Craig Thomas wrote, “Fun fact: tonight’s #thegoodwingames series finale is directed by none other than @ActuallyNPH!”
Around the same time, How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris wrote, “I directed the series finale of The Goodwin Games (on Fox) and it airs tonight! Super proud of the episode, and the cast. Please watch!”
While The Goodwin Games is over, there’s at least a little hope that it could return in some form one day. Bays told fans, “Hope you enjoyed draft one of #goodwingames, hope we get to get it right someday, & hope our awesome cast and crew can be there when we do.”
