TV show description:
This Showtime series follows the lives and loves of a group of lesbian, bisexual and transgender friends living in West Hollywood, California.
Jenny Schecter (Mia Kirshner) is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, who moves to Los Angeles to live with her boyfriend Tim Haspel (Eric Mabius) and to begin her career as a professional writer.
Jenny’s life changes dramatically when she attends a party hosted by Tim’s next-door neighbors, Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals) and Tina Kennard (Laurel Hollomon), a committed lesbian couple who are about to become parents. After an encounter at the party with coffeehouse owner Marina Ferrar (Karina Lombard), Jenny begins to question her own sexual orientation.
Other friends of Bette and Tina include shy tennis pro Dana Fairbanks (Erin Daniels), magazine writer Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), hairstylist Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moenning), and Bette’s alcoholic half-sister, Kit Porter (Pam Grier).
