A continuation of the story started in the TV movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles unveils a fictionalized account of actual events and people surrounding her life after her controversial acquittal of the horrific double murder of her father and stepmother in 1892. The show stars Christina Ricci, Clea DuVall, and Cole Hauser. Other characters are played by Olivia Llewellyn, John Ralston, Dylan Taylor, Bradley Stryker, Jeff Wincott, Jessy Schram, Rhys Coiro, Adrian G. Griffiths, Chris Bauer, and Matthew Le Nevez.

The limited series debuted in April and ran for eight episodes. They averaged a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 820,000 viewers. The season (now series) finale aired on May 24th.
