The Sopranos and Jersey Shore are two of the best known series set in New Jersey, and now Governor Chris Christie is blaming the two shows for his showing with the New Hampshire voters. They are not his biggest fans.
Christie spoke about the voters in an interview that aired on CNN during The Lead with Jake Tapper, and he blamed the two shows for New Hampshire’s lack of support in the presidential race.
A voter asked him about his “shady” behavior during a town hall held on Monday. He shared the interaction with the man:
“If you showed the rest of that tape, I then asked him, ‘What made you think that?’ and he said, ‘I don’t know. I think it’s probably because you’re from New Jersey.’ So … there are just certain cultural things that get baked in in some people’s minds, after, you know, ‘Jersey Shore’ and ‘The Sopranos’ that make people think a certain way.”
Christie knows he does not have a fan in at least one Jersey Shore star as well. According to NJ.com Snookie, otherwise known as Nicole Polizzi, spoke about Christie in her book, and she did not have kind words to say about him.
