The Soul Man is getting a new woman. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Missi Pyle has just been added to the TV Land series’ final season.
Pyle will be playing a “no-nonsense campaign manager” opposite Cedric the Entertainer’s Rev. Boyce.
Created by Suzanne Martin as a spin-off to Hot in Cleveland, The Soul Man stars Cedric the Entertainer as a singer-turned-reverend who moves from Las Vegas to St. Louis with his wife (Niecy Nash) and daughter (Jazz Raycole).
TV Land announced this summer that the series’ upcoming fifth season would be its last. This season, Boyce will be running for mayor.
