The Voice: Season 11 Ratings (Mondays)

The Voice TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or renew for season 12?)The Monday editions of season nine of The Voice (which aired last fall) ended up having the best ratings of any NBC show. How will the series perform this time around? There’s seemingly no chance that the series will be cancelled any time soon (season 12 is expected in the spring) but it’s still fun to watch the ratings. Stay tuned.

Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice singing competition typically airs twice a week — on Monday and Tuesday nights. Longtime coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have returned and are joined by new coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. Team advisors include Bette Midler (Team Blake), Sammy Hagar (Team Adam), Charlie Puth (Team Alicia), and Joan Jett (Team Miley).

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

10/18 update: NBC has renewed The Voice for seasons 12 and 13. Details here.

12/13 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The Monday editions of the ninth season of The Voice (Fall 2015) averaged a 3.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.02 million viewers.

Note: The special Olympics episode of August 21, 2016 isn’t counted as part of the show’s 11th season averages. It attracted a 2.70 in the demo with 10.34 million (live + same day ratings).

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
