Thursday TV Show Ratings: Last Resort, Beauty and the Beast, Vampire Diaries, Elementary, Scandal

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST updated ratingsThursday, October 18, 2012 ratings — New episodes: The Big Bang Theory, Last Resort, 30 Rock, The Vampire Diaries, Two and a Half Men, Up All Night, Grey’s Anatomy, Person of Interest, The Office, Beauty and the Beast, Parks and Recreation, Elementary, Scandal, and Rock Center with Brian Williams. Other programming: Major League Baseball playoffs.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory won the night with a 4.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 15.4 million viewers. Episode-to-episode, the sitcom was up 4% in the demo. Two and a Half Men followed with a season high in the demo with a 4.0 rating (+14%) and 13.6 million.

At 9pm, Person of Interest drew a 2.8 rating (-7%) with 13.8 million. That was followed by Elementary with a 2.3 rating (-8%) and 10.8 million viewers.

On ABC, Last Resort bumped up to a 1.7 rating (+6%) with 7.3 million. Grey’s Anatomy dropped to a 3.3 rating (-13%) with 9.5 million. At 10pm, Scandal held steady with a 2.0 rating and 6.4 million.

On NBC, 30 Rock held onto last week’s demo with a 1.3 rating and 3.3 million while Up All Night rose a whopping 27% to a 1.4 rating with 3.2 million viewers.

At 9pm, The Office dropped further, to a 2.0 rating (-9%) with 4.3 million. Parks and Recreation saw a bigger tumble, registering a 1.6 rating (-16%) with 3.4 million. Rock Center with Brian Williams finished the night with a 0.9 rating (-10%) and 3.5 million.

On The CW, The Vampire Diaries dropped 25% in the demo to a 1.2 rating and 2.7 million. In its second week, Beauty and the Beast dropped like a rock to a 0.7 demo rating (-42%) and 2.0 million viewers. Wow.

And on FOX, the baseball playoffs drew a 1.4 rating with 5.5 million viewers.
