Is Comedy Central‘s TripTank TV show in danger of being cancelled? It sure feels like it. TripTank, season two, premiered in September, 2015. The sophomore show’s mid-season finale aired November 20th, but the spring premiere date has still not been announced, even though 10 second season episodes have yet to air.
According to a Deadline report, those 10 episodes still haven’t made it to Comedy Central’s schedule, even though the cable outlet just cancelled another animated series, Moonbeam City. Deadline says TripTank‘s future, “…does not look very promising as the network continues to search for another animated hit to join South Park.” The voice cast of TripTank includes Eric Magnussen, Dana Snyder, Jonah Ray, Matt Mariska, Andrew Sipes, Tom Kenny, and Misty Lee.

“TripTank” season 2 premiered Friday, September 25 at Midnight ET/PT. “TripTank” showcases a wide range of fast-paced, hard-hitting animated comedy shorts presented in an anthology style, weaving together stand-alone and recurring narrative pieces. Executive produced by ShadowMachine’s Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, “TripTank” features a variety of mind-bending animation styles, featuring a broad range of formats including 2D, stop-motion and CGI. Season one favorites ‘Suck It Gary,’ ‘Ricky the Rocketship,’ ‘Bethiffer,’ ‘Jeff & Some Aliens’ and ‘Animal Hitman’ are returning for season two, which also introduces ‘Rest Assured,’ created by Mike Clattenberg (“Black Jesus”), among hundreds of other animated shorts. Voice talent this season includes Amy Schumer, Britanny Snow, Margaret Cho, Jemaine Clement, David Cross, Andrew Dice Clay, Key & Peele, Kristen Johnston, Cheryl Hines, Nick Swardson and Niecy Nash.
