On NBC, The Voice had the best demo of the night, registering a 4.1 rating with 10.9 million viewers. Week-to-week, the demo was down by 11%. Go On drew a 2.5 rating (-4%) with 6.4 million and The New Normal garnered a 1.8 rating (-10%) with 4.5 million. Parenthood capped the night with a 1.9 rating (-5%) and 4.8 million viewers.
On CBS, there were also a lot of declines. NCIS attracted a 3.2 demo rating (-6% episode-to-episode change) with 17.4 million viewers. NCIS: Los Angeles followed with a 2.7 rating (-10%) and 16.3 million — tying New Girl in the demo. Vegas, which was give a full season order yesterday, attracted a meager 1.5 rating (-25%) with 10.7 million viewers.
On ABC, Dancing with the Stars grew by 10% in the demo to a 2.2 rating with 12.7 million viewers.
At 9pm, it was the season premiere of Happy Endings with a 1.9 demo rating and 5.9 million viewers. Compared to last season’s debut, the sitcom was down by 39% in the demo (vs a 3.1 rating) and down by 18% in viewership (vs 7.3 million).
The season premiere of Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 drew a 1.7 demo rating and 4.3 million viewers. Compared to last season’s debut, the sitcom was down by 41% in the demo (vs a 2.9 rating) and down by 38% in viewership (vs 6.9 million).
The network’s surely not regretting the recent decision to end Private Practice. The medical spin-off drew a 1.9 rating (-13%) with 4.6 million viewers.
On FOX, it was an unusual night with two-and-a-half hours of primetime programming. Raising Hope held steady with a 1.7 rating and 4.1 million viewers. Ben and Kate attracted a 1.4 rating (+17%) with 3.1 million and New Girl drew a 2.7 rating (0% change) with 5.2 million. The special night of X Factor garnered a 2.1 rating (-9% change compared to last Wednesday’s) with 5.6 million.
And on The CW, Hart of Dixie drew a 0.5 rating (-17%) with 1.3 million. In its second week, Emily Owens, MD attracted a 0.3 rating — down a whopping 40% — with 1.1 million.
