TV shows don’t run forever and neither do websites.
After more than two decades, this is the end of the road for TVSeriesFinale.com. The site will remain online as a resource for the time being but there are no plans to update it.
As you know, television has changed a lot over the past couple of decades. The economics of running a television website have also changed. You may have noticed that many news-related sites have struggled and/or closed over the years and this one is no exception.
For this site, it’s mostly come down to a decline in ad revenue and a steep drop of traffic from search engines (thanks AI generated answers). It’s also become more and more difficult to access relevant ratings data. It also hasn’t helped that some corporate sites have made deals to receive (EXCLUSIVE) access to press releases days ahead of independent sites like this one.
I’m certainly not complaining. This site has grown far bigger than I ever could have expected (57,000 posts!) when I started it in 2005. At one point, it drew more traffic than Toyota’s site. However, now that the 2025-26 TV season has come to a close, it feels like the right time to wrap things up.
Just one or two people have been running this website for almost all of its run. I want to publicly thank Regina Avalos for her daily devotion for the past 11 years. Her hard work has been essential in keeping the site going and it has been very much appreciated.
Whether you are a newer reader or one who’s been along for the ride for decades, thanks for visiting.
