Ugly Betty: America Ferrera Wants Hulu to Make a Reunion

Ugly Betty ended its run on ABC six years ago, and the cast wants a revival. The cast of Ugly Betty reunited at the ATX Television Festival over the weekend, and America Ferrera stirred things up. On stage, she joked about a two-hour special to reunite the cast and characters of the series.

Now, she wants to make that joke a reality. She said the following, according to Variety:

“Hulu’s going to pick us up for a two-hour special. That’s not true, but if you tweet it…Everybody here take out your phone. Hashtag: Betty Reboot. We need a hashtag and tweet it out and then we’re going to get Hulu to buy a two-hour special.”

This is not out of the question. All of the original cast would need to be involved, according to Silvio Horta. That is the only way he would want to do a reunion special.

Ferrera even has an idea about where Betty is six years after her character went to London. She said the following, according to Deadline:

“Betty has been in London for 6 years and now she’s coming back home.”
