Ugly Betty is back in fashion. Last week, the cast of the cancelled ABC series reunited at Austin’s ATX Television Festival, reports Deadline.
The dramedy starred America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, an ambitious young woman who lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine. The cast included Eric Mabius, Judith Light, Vanessa Williams, Becki Newton, Michael Urie, Ana Ortiz, Rebecca Romijn, Mark Indelicato, Ashley Jensen, and Tony Plana. The show lasted four seasons, running from 2006 to 2010.
Aside from Newton, the entire cast gathered in Austin to discuss the series, its influence, and a possible revival. Ferrera urged the crowd to start a Twitter campaign for a two-hour Hulu reunion special. Series creator Silvio Horta supported the idea, saying “the only thing I know for sure, if we were to do somethings it would be a dream but everybody on the would have to be involved, and Becky Newton.”
