Ultimate Beastmaster will be back. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a second season of the upcoming Netflix series has already been ordered and filmed.
Executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, the reality competition series features “108 contestants from six different countries compet[ing] in the most physically demanding competition the world has ever seen.”
Speaking to THR, producer David Broome revealed season two has already been ordered and shot:
That just doesn’t happen in our industry. This is the beauty of Netflix.”
Broome also commented on what it means for Ultimate Beastmaster to be Netflix’s first reality competition series:
I believe this will be a game-changer within the industry. It’s not just that it’s the first reality competition for Netflix, this is a reality competition filmed at a scope, scale and creative design that is tailor-made for a global platform like Netflix.”
Ultimate Beastmaster debuts on Netflix on February 24th.
