Telly’s Take
Although the ratings are down a little this season, Undercover Boss is mostly holding its own. As a reality show, it is far less expensive to produce than scripted TV shows, and that works in its favor. It’s also good filler for the network. So, will CBS cancel or renew Undercover Boss for season nine? Right now, I expect a renewal is more likely than not. Anything can happen though, so subscribe for free updates on any Undercover Boss cancellation or renewal news. I’ll keep an eye on the ratings, and update this page from time to time.
5/15/2019 Status Update: After a year off the air, while the network aired Undercover Boss: Celebrity Edition, the original Undercover Boss has been renewed for season nine. Details here.
