Season one of Underground ended just last week, and co-creator Misha Green recently addressed the future of the WGN America series on Twitter.
Set in 1857, the historical drama follows a group of slaves who embark on journey to freedom using the Underground Railroad. Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Jessica De Gouw, Alano Miller, Christopher Meloni, and Marc Blucas star. WGN America has already renewed the show for a second season.
On her Twitter, Green said season one was just the beginning of a planned five-season arc:
