Episode 01-03: Wednesday, 9/28/11
The numbers continue to come tumbling down. This week’s episode lost 13% in the demo, falling to a 2.1 rating with 5.32 million viewers. Fortunately for fans of Up All Night, most of the rest of NBC shows are doing worse. It’s still safe.
Season average: 2.7 demo with 7.44 million.

Episode 01-02: Wednesday, 9/21/11
For week two, this sitcom came down 35% in the 18-49 demo to a 2.4 rating and 6.05 million viewers. The drop was to be expected, especially considering that the premiere had a very strong lead-in. Up All Night was in a distant fourth place in the timeslot but, considering the rest of NBC’s schedule, isn’t doing too badly.
Season average: 3.0 demo with 8.5 million.

Episode 01-01: Wednesday, 9/14/11
For the premiere, NBC gave the sitcom a strong lead-in with the season finale of America’s Got Talent. It garnered a 3.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.95 million viewers. Those are positive numbers but still represent a big drop from the last half-hour of the reality competition. On top of that, at least 22% of viewers tuned out between the first and second halves of Up All Night’s first episode. That’s not a good sign. It’s positive that the sitcom was widely sampled but it’s way too early to label it a success.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
