Will there be more Vampire Diaries? According to E!, The CW wants another season of the supernatural series.
The network has already renewed the vampire drama for an eighth season, which will continue on Fridays this fall.
At this week’s upfront presentation, CW head Mark Pedowitz said he doesn’t want season eight to be the last season:
No decisions have been made for one way or another whether or not this is the final season. In my dreams it isn’t.”
Though season seven ratings dropped slightly, they remained consistent with season six, receiving an average of .46 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 1.14 million viewers. Additionally, the show still retains a strong fan base.
