New Season of DIY Network’s ‘Vanilla Ice Project’ Premieres April 23

NEW YORK — Pop icon Vanilla Ice, a.k.a. Rob VanWinkle, tackles his next house flip in a new season of DIY Network’s popular series, The Vanilla Ice Project. Premiering Saturday, April 23, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the 13-episode arc will follow Vanilla Ice and his team as they renovate a Palm Beach, Fla. property and—to make the VIP palace fit for a flip—the team must maximize their dollars by repurposing materials, salvaging supplies and creating customized designs.

“We’ve got a ton of work to do and there’s no time to waste,” said Vanilla Ice. “But we’re about to have a little fun in the sun and get things done!”

The new season features projects such as a 3,000 sq. ft. five-bedroom, four-bath lakeside estate that requires Ice and his team to find cost-effective ways to achieve the impressive renovation. After an extensive demo, the guys add a 500 sq. ft. master suite with walk-in tub, a custom spiral staircase and floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors along the back side of the home to emphasize the view. But it wouldn’t be a true VIP flip without a little Florida flair, so the team adds an infinity-edge pool and spa, an indoor bowling alley and a custom lake dock for landing helicopters.
