Veronica Mars: Kristen Bell Says a Series Revival Will Happen

Veronica Mars

The case isn’t over yet. Recently, Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell told IndieWire she wants a revival of the UPN/CW TV show.

The series follows Veronica Mars (Bell), a teenager who moonlights as a private investigator. The show originally aired on UPN from 2004 to 2006 and then finished on The CW from 2006 to 2007. A fan-funded feature film was released in 2014.

Now, Bell says she wants a series revival for Veronica Mars even if she has to wait decades for it to happen:

We are willing to put the effort in — I mean, if I have to do it as ‘Murder She Wrote’ at 80, we’re going to do it. It’s going to happen.”

On the phone with co-star Ryan Hansen, Bell revealed there have been conversations with series creator Rob Thomas about doing a possible mini-series:

[We] are sort of in constant contact about when we can do it again. There’s a lot of willingness and commitment to doing it again. … Rob and I email about it every couple of months or so. And personally I think, and I think Rob probably agrees, is that a) we’ll never make the fans pay for it again and b) the format works better as an episodic [series].”

What do you think? Are you a big fan of Veronica Mars? Would you watch a revival mini-series?
