The Voice: Season 16 Ratings (Spring 2019)

The Voice TV show on NBC: season 16 ratings (canceled or renewed season 17?)

Since The Voice TV show is one of NBC’s strongest Nielsen ratings performers, don’t waste too much time wondering whether it will be cancelled or renewed for season 17. Unless something extraordinary happens, cancellation of this TV series is not likely in the near future. Still, shows tend to shed viewers over time, so we’re still tracking the ratings in the 16th season. Join us and stay tuned.  **Status update below.

Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice TV show is singing competition. It typically airs twice weekly on NBC — on Monday and Tuesday nights. In the 16th cycle, first time coach John Legend joins returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. The competition is divided into five stages: blind auditions, battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs, and live performances. For season 16, the coaches have enlisted music industry heavyweights to prepare their artists for the battle rounds. Legend teams up with Khalid; Clarkson with Kelsea Ballerini; Levine with Charlie Puth; and Blake Shelton with Brooks and Dunn.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

5/21 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
