The Walking Dead ended season six with a cliffhanger that people are still talking about two months after the episode aired on AMC. The cast and crew have started production on season seven, and they filmed a lot more than was needed for the season seven premiere.
The people behind the scenes on the series did not want the big cliffhanger at the start of the season revealed before the episode aired, so there were 11 different death scenes filmed for the premiere. Each of the main characters were filmed dying from Negan’s beating.
According to Digital Spy, there were 11 different characters lined up in front of Negan when the episode ended: Carl (Chandler Riggs), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Arron (Ross Marquand), Rosita (Christian Serratos), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun). Each one of them filmed their death scene.
