Spoiler alert! An international promo for the midseason premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead reveals a major plot development, Blastr reports.
Season six of the zombie drama returns for new episodes on February 14th.
In the promo photo, you can clearly see Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) with a bandaged eye. Fans of the Walking Dead comics will know that Carl is shot in the eye by Douglas Monroe (Deanna in the TV show), and it looks like the AMC TV show is keeping that part of the comic books intact.
The injury looks to be just part of a violent and somber return for the series. Last week, we posted a new interview with the cast and crew where star Norman Reedus said the characters “don’t all survive” to the end of season six.
