James Wolk is heading to HBO. Deadline reports the Zoo star has joined the network’s upcoming TV show, Watchmen.
Based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel, the drama is set in an alternate universe “where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws.”
Wolk’s role on Watchmen has not been revealed, but he joins fellow cast members Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers and Dylan Schombing.
HBO has not yet announced a premiere date for the new series.
