Wayward Pines is getting a new resident. TVLine reports that Jason Patric has been cast in season two of the FOX drama.
The mystery thriller was renewed for a second season in December.
According to TVLine, Patric will join the cast of Wayward Pines as “Dr. Theo Yedlin, a confident, driven surgeon whose leadership skills become invaluable to Wayward Pines’ residents.”
The rest of the season two cast is still up in the air. Season one regulars Matt Dillon and Toby Jones will not be returning. The second season will reportedly pick up where the first left off, with the Idaho town “in the middle of a serious rebellion, as the residents, led by the bratty First Generation, battle over how to preserve the endangered human race.”
