The TV show is based on a comedic web series which was created by and stars Lisa Kudrow. The first three seasons on Showtime culled footage from multiple web episodes and were filled out with additional content.
A total of 31 episodes have aired on Showtime since July 2011. The cable channel has ordered 10 new episodes which will air some time in the future. The last original installment aired in September and ended with a cliffhanger.
