Although the first season of the Wynonna Earp TV show didn’t earn great demo ratings for Syfy, it did draw a decent sized total audience and was renewed for season two. The series also airs on Canada’s space channel, which helps defray some of the cost. Can it build upon its audience in the second installment? Will Wynonna Earp be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A supernatural horror western, Wynonna Earp stars Melanie Scrofano in the title role. Shamier Anderson, Tim Rozon, and Dominique Provost-Chalkley also star. The Syfy recurring cast includes Katherine Barrell, Michael Eklund, Tamara Duarte, Greg Lawson, and Natascha Girgis. Based on the Beau Smith comic, the series follows lawman Wyatt Earp’s demon-fighting great-great-granddaughter, who inherited his abilities, as well as his legendary gun. As a special agent of the US Marshals’ secret Black Badge Division, Wynonna — along with her younger sister, Waverly (Provost-Chalkley), Agent Xavier Dolls (Anderson), Doc Holliday (Rozon), and officer Nicole Haught (Barrell) — is working to end to the Earp curse, for good.
