The Tiffany Network is keeping it sudsy. Today, CBS renewed its top daytime soap opera, The Young and The Restless for three more years, through 2020, and its spin-off serial, The Bold and the Beautiful through 2018. Y&R has long been the top rated broadcast network daytime drama, with B&B taking second place.
The Young and the Restless premiered on CBS on March 26th 1973 . It centers on the lives and loves of the residents of Genoa City. The large cast includes Robert Adamson, Lauralee Bell, Peter Bergman, Eric Braeden, Tracey E. Bregman, Sean Carrigan, Sharon Case, Judith Chapman, Doug Davidson, Eileen Davidson, Melissa Claire Egan, Max Ehrich, Daniel Goddard, Camryn Grimes, Amelia Heinle, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Bryton James, Christel Khalil, Christian Jules Le Blanc, Kate Linder, Mishael Morgan, Joshua Morrow, Melissa Ordway, Sofia Pernas, Greg Rikaart, Tristan Rogers, Melody Thomas Scott, Kristoff St. John, Jason Thompson, Gina Tognoni, Miles Gaston Villanueva, and Jess Walton.
Premiering on CBS on March 23rd in 1987, The Bold and the Beautiful follows the Forrester family and the fortunes of their L.A. fashion business. CBS RENEWS “THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS” FOR THREE MORE YEARS AND “THE PRICE IS RIGHT” FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO SEASONS
#1 Rated Network in Daytime for 30 Years Picks Up New Seasons of Entire Lineup for 2017-2018 Season, Including “Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Talk”
CBS, the #1 rated network in daytime for 30 years, has renewed its entire Daytime schedule for the 2017-2018 season, including a three-year deal for daytime’s #1 drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, and an additional two years for network television’s #1 daytime show, THE PRICE IS RIGHT. The full lineup, which was just honored with an industry-leading 14 Daytime Emmy Awards, also includes new seasons of LET’S MAKE A DEAL, THE TALK and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, which previously received a multi-year pickup through the 2017-2018 season.

The #1 daytime drama for 28 consecutive years, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS is averaging 4.93 million viewers. The series is broadcast weekdays (12:30-1:30 PM, ET/11:30 AM-12:30 PM, PT) and is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company, in association with Sony Pictures Television. Mal Young is the executive producer.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, is averaging 3.94 million viewers. The most watched dramatic serial in the world, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is broadcast weekdays (1:30 PM-2:00 PM, ET/12:30-1:00 PM, PT). It is a Bell-Phillip Television production; Brad Bell is the executive producer.
Today, CBS also renewed, Let’s Make a Deal, The Price Is Right, and The Talk.
