Freeform TV series earn the sort of low Nielsen ratings that would warrant cancellation on a broadcast network. In its freshman outing, the Alone Together TV show drew the cable network’s smallest audience (and the demo numbers weren’t great, either). Freeform’s target demographic tends to watch On Demand, online, and/or on DVR delay though, so traditional ratings don’t always show the whole picture. Still, we track the linear ratings, because they still give us an idea of one show’s success or failure, in comparison to the network’s other programming. Can this quirky little comedy improve its ratings in the second season? Will Alone Together be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A semi-autobiographical comedy starring Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo (who created the Freeform TV show with Eben Russell), Alone Together centers on Esther and Benji, who stick out like sore thumbs in image-obsessed Los Angeles. Even though everyone thinks they should be a couple, they only think of each other as friends. At least they’re not all alone; they’re alone together.
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.

For comparisons: The first season of Alone Together on Freeform averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic and 227,000 total viewers.
