The Amazing Race TV show on CBS: season 31 ratings (canceled or renewed season 32?)

Although its ratings have dropped over time, last year they increased, and now The Amazing Race TV show is back for a 31st season on CBS. This cycle even has a new twist. The contestants are all from past seasons of the Tiffany Network’s reality series. In addition to TAR, there are also competitors from Big Brother and Survivor. Will this old home week (season) bring back even more viewers? Will The Amazing Race be cancelled or renewed for season 32? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

Phil Keoghan returns to host season 31 of The Amazing Race. This season on CBS once again features 11 pairs of contestants racing around the world in pursuit of a million-dollar prize. Racing this time out are: Art Velez (49) and John James “JJ” Carrell (49) [TAR 20]; Colin Guinn (38) and Christie Woods (40) [TAR 5]; Becca Droz (28) and Floyd Pierce (23) [TAR 29]; Leo Temory (31) and Jamal Zadran (30) [TAR 23 & All-Stars]; Tyler Oakley (31) and Korey Kuhl (33) [TAR 28]; Chris Hammons (40) and Bret Labelle (44) [Survivor]; Corinne Kaplan (39) and Eliza Orlins (35) [Survivor]; Rupert (54) and Laura (49) Boneham [Survivor]; Janelle Pierzina (38) and Britney Haynes (30) [Big Brother]; Rachel Reilly (34) and Elissa Slater (32) [Big Brother]; Nicole Franzel (26) and Victor Arroyo (28) [Big Brother]. The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available.
