American Vandal: Season Two Renewal for Netflix True Crime Spoof Series

American Vandal TV show on Netflix: season 2 renewal (canceled or renewed?)

(Netflix)

Apparently, crime does pay. Netflix has renewed its satirical American Vandal TV show for a second season. Although they haven’t posted the information on the media site, the streaming service released a teaser announcing the American Vandal renewal, with plans for a 2018 release date. Watch it, below.

The eight-episode first season of American Vandal dropped to Netflix on September 15, 2017. Season one of the scripted, true crime send-up stars Tyler Alvarez, Griffin Gluck, Jimmy Tatro, Lou Wilson, Jessica Juarez, Joe Farrell, Camille Hyde, Camille Ramsey, Genevieve Hannelius, Karly Rothenberg, Calum Worthy, Ryan O’Flanagan, Dendrie Taylor, Larry Joe Campbell, Eduardo Franco, Sean Carrigan, and Matt Miller. In the first installment, after a graffiti artist spray paints phallic symbols on 27 cars in the Hanover High School employee parking lot, everyone has one culprit in mind. When sophomore documentarian Peter Maldanaldo (Alverez) looks into the matter, he realizes some key details of the crime differ from the suspect’s usual M.O.

American Vandal Renewed for Season Two on Netflix

The teaser doesn’t reveal anything of substance about American Vandal season two. As the camera zooms in on yearbook photos, the narrator says, “You can be born into the perfect family, the perfect school, the perfect life, but can you be born above the law?” The ensuing graphic reads, “Season #2 Coming 2018.” Check it out.
