America’s Funniest Home Videos: Season 26 Ratings

After serving as host of America’s Funniest Home Videos for many years, Tom Bergeron left the venerable  ABC program last season. Alfonso Ribeiro is the new host and the producers have an opportunity to shake things up a bit. Will a new host bring an upturn in the ratings or will they continue to fall? Will AFV be renewed for a 27th season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Last year comparison: The 25th season of AFV averaged a 1.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.14 million total viewers.
