What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FXX cable channel, Archer began with the spies of the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). The voice cast includes: H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Lucky Yates, and Adam Reed. Taking place in 1947 Los Angeles, the story revolves around former agent and current private investigator Sterling Archer (Benjamin). He’s on the hunt for his partner’s killer. While working the difficult case, he finds himself caught in the struggle between the city’s organized crime factions. Each clue pulls him away from his primary cause. Archer soon ends up in embroiled in a mystery involving kidnapping, the sex trade, and drugs.
Season Eight Ratings
The eighth season of Archer averaged a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 465,000 viewers. Compared to season seven on FX, that’s down by 35% in the demo and down by 41% in viewership. Find out how Archer stacks up against other FXX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
FX Networks has finally moved its animated Archer TV show to FXX. Will the audience follow? Fans shouldn’t have to worry whether Archer is cancelled or renewed for season nine, because it was picked up through season 10, back in June of 2016, and creator Adam Reed says it will end there. I will still keep an eye on the ratings and update this page from time to time. Subscribe for free Archer cancellation and renewal news alerts. After all, even renewals can be cancelled.
