FX is headed back to Atlanta. Deadline reports the network has renewed the new series for a second season.
Created by Donald Glover, the comedy-drama follows two cousins who work through the Atlanta, Georgia music scene as they try to better their lives and the lives of their families. In addition to Glover, the cast includes Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz
Atlanta, which just premiered on September 6th, has garnered an average of .52 in the 18-49 demo and 1.038 million viewers in the ratings so far. While not particularly strong, the series has only received considerable critical praise.
