What’s This TV Show About?

Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Atypical stars Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Rapaport, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Amy Okuda, Nik Dodani, Jenna Boyd, Christina Offley, Wendy Braun, Gino Montesino, and Rachel Ashley Redleaf. This coming of age comedy centers on Sam (Gilchrist), an 18 year old on the autism spectrum. While Sam is looking for love and a new level of autonomy, his family must to come to terms with how that will change their lives. This heartfelt story also explores what being “normal” truly means.

Unless Netflix decides to publicize its viewership, it is hard to predict if they’ll cancel or renew Atypical for season two, because Nielsen doesn’t tracking the ratings of streaming TV shows.
