TV show description:
A reboot of the 1970s and ’80s competition series, the Battle of the Network Stars TV show pits teams of celebrities against each other in various athletic competitions. Events include tug of war, archery, a kayak relay, an obstacle course, and a dunk tank.

There are generally themes behind the teams. For example, one episode in the first season is entitled “White House vs. Lawyers.” The White House team consists of West Wing veterans Marlee Matlin, Joshua Malina, and Mary McCormack as well as Cornelius Smith Jr. of Scandal and LaMonica Garrett from Designated Survivor.

L.A. Law‘s Corbin Bersen, Law & Order‘s Elisabeth Röhm, How to Get Away with Murder‘s Matt McGorry, JAG‘s Catherine Bell, and Romi Dias — who has played attorneys on series including The Mentalist and Castle — make up the Lawyer Team.

The new Battle of the Network Stars plays out at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, home of the original series.

Series Finale:
Episode #10 — Troublemakers vs. TV Lifeguards
Troublemakers (Vivica A. Fox, Paul Johansson, John Barrowman, Julie Benz, Catherine Bach) vs. TV Lifeguards (David Chokachi, Brande Roderick, *Parker Stevenson, Nicole Eggert, Gena Lee Nolin).
