It’s been announced that Blindspot, Chicago Fire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Chicago PD will all have one extra installment this season, bringing each’s tally to 23 episodes. They are four of the network’s highest-rated scripted series this season.
The Player and Truth Be Told have been doing very poorly in the ratings and have seen their orders cut to nine and 10 episodes respectively. Both are expected to be cancelled.
New comedies Superstore and Telenovela (formerly Hot & Bothered) have seen their episode orders reduced to 10 as well. It was announced yesterday that these shows will be given a special post-Voice airing later this month to give them some extra exposure.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot, Chicago Fire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, or Chicago PD TV shows? Are you glad to hear there will be an extra episode of each?
