Chicago Fire: Season Six Ratings

Chicago Fire TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or season 7?)After four seasons on Tuesday nights, the popular Chicago Fire TV show is being moved to Thursday nights — a very competitive evening for network television. Will this NBC drama’s audience follow this series to a new night? Will the ratings fall or rise? Cancelled or renewed for season seven? Stay tuned. *Update below.

Chicago Fire follows the personal lives and work lives of the Chicago paramedics and firefighters working on Engine 51, Truck 81, Ambulance, and Battalion 25. No occupation is more stressful or dangerous, yet so rewarding and exhilarating. These courageous men and women forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way. The TV show’s cast includes Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, Eamonn Walker, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso, Yuri Sardarov, Christian Stolte, Kara Killmer, and Miranda Rae Mayo. Recurring players include Randy Flagler, Anthony Ferraris, and DuShon Brown.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

5/11 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The fifth season of Chicago Fire averaged a 1.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.05 million viewers (live + same day ratings).

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
