First Look at The CW 2010-11 Fall Schedule

The CW is the smallest of the five networks, programming just five nights and 10 hours of primetime. While the other networks try to cater to the 18-49 demographic, The CW tries to attract predominantly young females.

While the network has fewer new shows than the other networks, they are moving their existing shows around. They’ve now paired 90210 with Gossip Girl on Monday and One Tree Hill with Life Unexpected on Tuesday. It’ll be interesting to see if the switches pay off.

America’s Next Top Model stays on Wednesdays and will be followed by Hellcats, a new drama about life at Tennessee university. Vampire Diaries stays on Thursdays and will now be followed by Nikita, an action drama about a young woman who’s an assassin for the government.

Then, on Fridays, Smallville will return for its 10th and final season. It’ll be paired once again with Supernatural which is new to the night. It’ll be interesting to see if this move kills Supernatural’s ratings.

Over the summer, the network will unveil Plain Jane, a reality series that will show women getting serious makeovers.
