DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Second Season Renewal for CW Series

The legends will return. Today, The CW announced they’ve renewed freshman series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for a second season.

The network has also renewed 10 other series, including iZombie and The 100.

A veritable who’s who of DC Comics characters, Legends of Tomorrow follows a group of superheroes, assembled by time-traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), as they try and stop the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) from destroying humanity. Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Victor Garber, Franz Drameh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Ciara Renée, and Falk Hentschel also star.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premiered in January and has been performing decently in the ratings, with an average of around 2.5 million viewers per episode so far.

The other CW series renewals for the 2016-2017 season include the following: Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Supernatural, The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, Reign, Arrow and The Flash.

The season one finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on May 19th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
