Frequency: Cancelled; No Season Two for CW TV Show

Frequency TV show on The CW: (canceled or renewed?)

It looks like fans of Frequency are out of luck. Deadline reports The CW has cancelled the TV show after only one season.

Based on the 2000 movie of the same name, the drama revolves around a young police detective (Peyton List) who manages to communicate with her deceased father (Riley Smith) through time but there are serious and unforeseen consequences to her actions. The cast also includes Devin Kelley, Anthony Ruivivar, Mekhi Phifer, Lenny Jacobson, and Daniel Bonjour.

It was only a matter of time before The CW cancelled Frequency. Season one of the series delivered poor ratings, earning an average of .27 in the 18-49 demo and only 936,000 viewers. These numbers made the freshman series one of the network’s lowest-rated and least-watched shows for the 2016-2017 season.

There was a chance for a renewal if Frequency performed well on Netflix, but it seems that did not happen. Instead, The CW has decided to move on. The network has also cancelled No Tomorrow after one season. Details here.

What do you think? Did you watch Frequency? Do you think it should’ve been renewed?
