Galavant‘s renewal chances were already slim, to begin with. In its first season ratings, the musical comedy’s averaged 1.32 in the 18-49 demographic and drew an average total audience of 4.83 million viewers. That it was renewed for a second season was as Deadline notes, a miracle. In season two, the show’s ratings were even worse. Galavant averaged a 0.63 in the demo and 2.436 million viewers.
Last month, we reported that the cast of Galavant was still waiting to hear on the show’s status. Timothy Omundson (King Richard) said the cast was “hoping and praying” ABC would renew Galavant. It sounds like Sasse may have already said his, “Amen.”
In the No Tomorrow pilot, Sasse has been cast opposite Tori Anderson. She plays Evie (previously, Sarah) who Deadline describes as “a risk-averse, straight arrow female procurement manager at an Amazon-like distribution center.” Sasse has been cast as her love interested, described as “a freewheeling man who lives life to the fullest because he believes the apocalypse is imminent.”
Also in the No Tomorrow TV show pilot cast is Amy Pietz who has is set in the role of Deirdre, Evie’s boss, in this “bucket list” comedy. No Tomorrow is from Jane The Virgin‘s Corinne Brinkerhoff and Ben Silverman. The hour-long show is based on the Brazilian TV series, How To Enjoy The End Of The World.
If Sasse is only available for one episode, do you think the Galavant TV show will be cancelled for sure? Could the series get around the absence of the title character? Do you wish Galavant would be renewed? Sound off, below.
