TV Line reports Stacey Oristano has joined the cast of the Gilmore Girls TV series revival at Netflix. As pictured above, Oristano played Truly Stone on ABC Family‘s (Freeform) Bunheads, which was cancelled after one season. She also played Mindy Collette Riggins on the cancelled NBC series, Friday Night Lights. Also pictured above is Kelly Bishop, as Bunheads‘ Fanny Flowers. Bishop was previously announced as returning for the Gilmore Girls sequel.

According to TV Line, Oristano is set in a “top-secret, guest starring role.” Bunheads‘ Sutton Foster has also been tapped for an undisclosed Gilmore Girls role. Series creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, was the force behind Bunheads. She and husband Daniel Palladino are executive producing the Gilmore Girls revival.

TV Line adds:

[The Palladinos] are writing and directing all four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies. As TVLine exclusively revealed, each chapter will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year (as such, the episodes will be titled “Winter,” Spring,” Summer” and “Fall”). The revival will be set in the present day, or roughly eight years after the series ended.

While Oristano’s character is still unknown, back in June 2015, when the revival was just a rumor, the good folks over at The TV Junkies put her on their Gilmore Girls revival wish list. Check it out:

[We’re] thinking those fast talking skills could come in handy for her should the rumoured Gilmore Girls reunion project every come to pass. After all, Bunheads saw a fair share of Gilmore actors during its run, from co-star Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore) to Liza Weil (Paris) playing Truly’s sister Milly. Oristano jokes that in the reunion the tables could turn. “I think Paris needs a sister. I’d totally be down for that,” she says. But above all, she’s in the same boat as other fans attending ATX because “I’m a huge Gilmore Girls fan and I just can’t wait to check out that panel and see what they say.”
