Will there be another season of Grand Hotel? Recently, ABC boss Karey Burke discussed the future of the freshman TV show, Deadline reports.
The drama serie centers on the Riviera Grand, the last family-owned hotel in Miami Beach, owner Santiago Mendoza (Demián Bichir), and his family. Beneath the veneer of luxury, lurk sinful scandals, financial foibles, and deep, dark secrets. The cast also includes Roselyn Sánchez, Denyse Tontz, Bryan Craig, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Lincoln Youne, Shalim Ortiz, Anne Winters, Chris Warren, Feliz Ramirez, and Justina Adorno.
During this year’s summer TCA press conference, Burke revealed ABC will wait until the end of Grand Hotel‘s first season to make a renewal decision:
We’re going to wait until the end of its run. It’s a show we like a lot. It’s a show that I wish the ratings were a bit stronger but we’ll make that decision after its run.”
So far, the primetime soap is earning fairly lackluster ratings, averaging a .57 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.022 million viewers.
