Hawaii Five-0: Friday Night Series Renewed for Season Seven

Hawaii Five-0 TV show on CBS: season 7When Hawaii Five-0 was moved to Friday nights after three seasons on Monday evenings, many expected the cop drama to be cancelled. The TV show’s continued to do pretty well though and now, it’s been renewed for a seventh season by CBS.

A reimagining of the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show, this police procedural series revolves around an elite state police task force that fights crime in the 50th state. The series stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, Jorge Garcia, and Chi McBride.

The 17 episodes that have aired so far during the sixth season have averaged a 1.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.83 million viewers. That’s down by about 7% year-to-year but the ratings are apparently good enough to keep this CBS Television-produced series on the air.

Today, the network announced 2016-17 season renewals of 10 other shows as well — 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Madam Secretary, Mom, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, and Survivor.

What do you think? Are you still enjoying the Hawaii Five-0 TV show? How long do you realistically think this series should continue?
