High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: TV Show on Disney+: canceled or renewed?

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is returning for the holidays. Disney+ has announced that a holiday special is set to arrive on December 11th. The streaming service announced the event on Twitter.

Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders will all appear in the holiday High School Musical: The Musical: The Series special. They’ll sing holiday songs and share their own family memories of the season, as well as New Year’s resolutions. A soundtrack for the special will be released on November 20th, per Deadline.

The special will also offer a sneak peek of season two. A mockumentary musical drama, the series was renewed for a second season in October 2019, a month ahead of the show’s premiere.
