Homeland is calling it quits. Deadline reports the Showtime TV show is ending after eight seasons.
The long-running spy thriller stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a former CIA agent with bipolar disorder who now works in Washington D.C. The cast also includes Mandy Patinkin, Elizabeth Marvel, Linus Roache, Maury Sterling, and Jake Weber.
In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Danes confirmed season eight will be the end for Homeland, saying “that’s it” for the Showtime series. The final season of Homeland begins production later this year.
