Homeland is calling it quits. Deadline reports the Showtime TV show is ending after eight seasons.
The long-running spy thriller stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a former CIA agent with bipolar disorder who now works in Washington D.C. The cast also includes Mandy Patinkin, Elizabeth Marvel, Linus Roache, Maury Sterling, and Jake Weber.
In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Danes confirmed season eight will be the end for Homeland, saying “that’s it” for the Showtime series. The final season of Homeland begins production later this year.

I just finished watching all 96 hours. Is this how you are ending this??? I think you need a few more shows or at least another season to wrap things ups. Sad I really have enjoyed. In theses hard times with the virus it has helped getting thru not being able to work or go anywhere…

I loved this show! At first it was iffy but once it got going I was hooked! I am sad it is ending. More of these type of shows!
Wasn’t too fond of this show. I tried a few times to get into it, but it always turned out the same: Too much unnecessary lewd language and gratuitous sex; took away from the story line too much. Glad to see it go.
I will miss this show. Great acting and good story lines, but at least there will be a closure with season 8.

Yep I’m disappointed. Homeland is awesome. Quality shows like this don’t come around that often. Claire Danes rocks along with her stellar castmates…in particular her on show mentor Mandy Patinkin. I hope it gets picked up again.
At least their is one more season for the show with a planned ending. It was a great run, for a great series
