What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy superhero drama based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is a Superman prequel from executive producers David S. Goyer and Cameron Welsh. The series stars Cameron Cuffe, Shaun Sipos, Georgina Campbell, Colin Salmon, Ann Ogbomo, Aaron Pierre, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Blake Ritson, and Ian McElhinney. Unfolding 200 years before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, the story centers on Kal-El’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cuffe). Seg is faced with the starkest of choices. He can either save Krypton, or allow its destruction, in order to protect the fate of his future grandson. Season two kicks off with a changed Kandor fighting for its freedom, and General Dru-Zod (Salmon) is in control.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Krypton averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 408,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 54% and 48%, respectively. Find out how Krypton stacks up against the other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will Syfy cancel or renew Krypton for season three? Last year, this series was the channel’s highest-rated series. The ratings are way down this year but it’s still doing well when compared to other Syfy shows. The channel has also cancelled several other TV shows lately and the execs (theoretically) can’t cancel everything. So, I think that will help keep this one safe and Krypton will be renewed.
